The Aurora Community Health Commons or ACHC (interim name) is a partnership between the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, Salud Family Health Centers (a federally qualified health center), and the Aurora community.
It will be situated on a now vacant 27-acre parcel of land at the intersection of Colfax Ave. and Airport Blvd., in the Laredo Highline neighborhood of Northeast Aurora on the tribal lands of the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapahoe indigenous peoples.
The project aims to promote the health, wealth, and overall well-being of Aurora residents. ACHC will achieve this by collaborating with the community to create coordinated, comprehensive, and equal opportunities for individuals, families, and communities in Aurora to thrive. The ACHC’s holistic approach will focus on the intersections of integrated clinical care, affordable housing with a pathway to ownership, food security, early childhood education, and workforce/economic development.
